OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY

            Our deepest sympathy to Ann Dunlop and the Cayer Family on the passing away of Florian.  His funeral will be held on May 4th at 2 p.m. in Marionville, Ontario

            May he rest in peace.

 

ST. AL’S GARAGE SALE

Saturday, May 18 from 9:30 to 12 noon.  Bake Sale, Hog Dog Barbeque, Gently Used and Treasures! 

            If you are interested in renting a table at a cost of $20, please contact Diane at 819-775-8941.

            If you would like to donate items for the sale or food items for the bake sale, there can be dropped off on Friday evening before the sale or Saturday morning.  All proceeds go towards the parish operations fund.

 

2013 PILGRIMAGE: Moving Ways Pilgrimage The Gatineau

            May 26th to June 1st our Diocese will be holding a daily Walking Pilgrimage to many areas of our Diocese starting each day in Chelsea and going to Kazabazua, Rupert, Luskville, Wakefield, Cantley etc. It would be great to be able to organize a group to attend one or all the days.  For more information, check the bulletin boards at the entrances or contact Carol at the office, 819-663-5244.

 

 

BAPTISM ON SUNDAY – St. Columban

         This Sunday at St. Columban is the baptism of Emma Chiara Dea Rexhepi, daughter of Andrée Amyot and Edmond Rexhepi, and granddaughter of Kathy and Moe Amyot.

            May the Lord keep her safe in the palm of his hands.

 

 

FOOD FOR THE NEEDY

            Our Food cupboard for the needy in our area is getting very low!  We are in need of all types of non-perishable food.  Please feel free to donate canned food, pickles, pasta, rice, toothpaste, laundry detergent, etc. There is a basket at the back of the church for this purpose.  Thank you for your help.

 ST. AL’S SPRING SUPPER AND DANCE  on May 4th there will be a Spring Supper and Dance in the Parish Hall at 5 p.m.  Meal includes, ham, baked beans, potatoes, vegetables, tea/coffee and dessert.  Take-out orders will be available.  Tickets are $10 (adults), $5 (12-6 years) FREE (5 years and under)  For tickets see Diane after mass or call the office at 819-663-5244

DEDICATION OF ST. JOSEPH’S CATHEDRAL

            On Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 10:00 am there will be a diocesan celebration at St. Joseph’s Cathedral for the dedication of the cathedral.
