YEAR OF FAITH: October 11, 2012 – November 24, 2013

With his Apostolic letter of October 11, 2011, Porta Fidei, Pope Benedict XVI declared that a “Year of Faith” will begin on October 11, 2012 and conclude on November 24, 2013.  October 11, 2012, the first day of the Year of Faith, was the fiftieth anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Council and also the twentieth anniversary of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

During the Year of Faith Catholics are asked to study and reflect on the documents of Vatican II and the Catechism so that they may deepen their knowledge of the faith.

The Year of Faith is an opportunity for Catholics to experience a conversion – to turn back to Jesus and enter into a deeper relationship with him.

ARE YOU NEW TO OUR PARISH?

Welcome to all who want to make their faith home here! You may have come from other places. You may have been “away for a while”. Be assured that we love to have you among us. We would appreciate it very much if you identify yourself at Mass. It would also help if you would take the time to fill out a registration form. The next time you are with us, you may leave it in the collection basket or give it to one of the ushers or to the priest.

            Welcome.

SHROVE TUESDAY PANCAKE SUPPER – ASH WEDNESDAY

This year we will once again come together as community to share a Pancake supper to prepare ourselves for our Lenten journey. On Tuesday, February 12th, at 5 p.m., you are all invited to the church basement. Following our meal, we will gather upstairs for mass to celebrate Ash Wednesday. Why on Tuesday you may ask... it is simple, Father will need to be in Buckingham on Wednesday.  The Pancake Supper is a free will offering.

For our CHILDREN

Each Sunday (except special events.) Come and join us downstairs for our Liturgy of the word with children.  We will continue with the same Liturgy used during the Mass but it is written at a level that the children will find easier to understand. For more info. Contact Louise MacMillan (819-643-1156 or Donna Escander (819-568-1057)

We need two extra leaders for this activity to be given regularly.  If you are interested, we will provide training and guidance.
