YEAR OF FAITH: October 11, 2012 – November 24, 2013

With his Apostolic letter of October 11, 2011, Porta Fidei, Pope Benedict XVI declared that a “Year of Faith” will begin on October 11, 2012 and conclude on November 24, 2013.  October 11, 2012, the first day of the Year of Faith, was the fiftieth anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Council and also the twentieth anniversary of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

During the Year of Faith Catholics are asked to study and reflect on the documents of Vatican II and the Catechism so that they may deepen their knowledge of the faith.

The Year of Faith is an opportunity for Catholics to experience a conversion – to turn back to Jesus and enter into a deeper relationship with him.

Welcome to all who want to make their faith home here! You may have come from other places. You may have been “away for a while”. Be assured that we love to have you among us. We would appreciate it very much if you identify yourself at Mass. It would also help if you would take the time to fill out a registration form. The next time you are with us, you may leave it in the collection basket or give it to one of the ushers or to the priest.

If you are interested in helping out with our parish by reading, serving mass and/or as a Eucharistic Minister, please contact Kathy Amyot at 819-568-0735.

MURDER MYSTERY EVENING - Back by popular demand, St. Aloysius will be hosting another murder mystery with 2 performances March 1st and 2nd. Once again this event will include a light snack, coffee/tea, BYOB, prizes and lots of good entertainment. For this year's production "Murder on the Lust Boat" we will be encouraging everyone to wear their best cruise wear and join in on the fun. Tickets will be $10.00 each and will be available after mass or in the church office, get yours early as there will only be 100 seats available per night.

For more detailed information, you can contact Diane at 819-775-8941.

Each Sunday (except special events.) Come and join us downstairs for our Liturgy of the word with children.  We will continue with the same Liturgy used during the Mass but it is written at a level that the children will find easier to understand. Why on Tuesday you may ask... it is simple, Father will need to be in Buckingham on Wednesday.  More details to follow in the coming weeks.
